Our Fight Against COVID-19
We are proud to announce four of our disinfectants were tested and proven to kill COVID-19 with a 4 log (99.99%) kill rate.
DC HAND RUB, ALCOSEPT, OXIACID and SUPERQUAT passed EN 14476 (suspension test for the evaluation of virucidal activity) with a log 4 reduction (99.99% kill rate) against Feline coronavirus VR-929 (P 06).
Feline coronavirus VR-929 (P 06) has been accepted as an international variant for the SARS-COV 2 virus. In order to qualify as successfully killing COVID-19, the product needs to be effective against the following viruses with at least a 4 log (99.99%) kill rate: Poliovirus-1, Adenovirus-5, Murine norovirus, Vaccinia Virus. EN 14476 is the European Standard for products with antiviral properties for hand and surface disinfection.

Having four disinfectants registered to kill COVID-19 is a great achievement for us. The variety of industries these products are already being used in, gives us the confidence to continue to produce disinfectants that not only sanitise effectively, but are now effective against one of the worlds most feared viruses.
The Products Fighting Against COVID-19
The four disinfectants tested consist of one hand sanitiser and three surface and equipment disinfectants. All four products hold the SANS 1853 mark, which indicates it is safe to use in the food and beverage industry.
DC HAND RUB is a gel hand sanitiser with a base of 75% Ethyl Alcohol. DC HAND RUB is designed to sanitise hands without drying them out. DC HAND RUB passed EN 14476 with a log 4 reduction (99.99% kill rate) against Feline coronavirus VR-929 (P 06). DC HAND RUB holds the SANS 1853 mark and the SANS 490 mark for hand sanitisers.
ALCOSEPT is an alcohol based surface disinfectant that can be used to disinfect equipment and surfaces. ALCOSEPT passed EN 14476 with a log 4 reduction (99.99% kill rate) against Feline coronavirus VR-929 (P 06).
OXIACID is a peracetic acid based disinfectant that can be used to effectively sanitise pipelines in Cleaning In Place systems. OXIACID passed EN 14476 with a log 4 reduction (99.99% kill rate) against Feline coronavirus VR-929 (P 06).
SUPERQUAT is a twin chain Q.A.C. based disinfectant which can be used during Open Plant Cleaning of factories and facilities to disinfect surfaces. SUPERQUAT passed EN 14476 with a log 4 reduction (99.99% kill rate) against Feline coronavirus VR-929 (P 06).
